Spain and Japan come from different cultural spheres, yet their design philosophies share a deep respect for materials, negative space, and understated beauty.
“Substance” — the power of th essential — is the theme of this exhibition, highlighting the quiet strength found in deliberate, minimal expression. Curated by Yasuhiro Shiojima of Sioalittle Design Co.Ltd, the exhibition brings together Spanish and Japanese perspectives to showcase products that resonate across cultures.
Two seminars will be held during the exhibition (10-12 Dec.2025 /11:00-19:00):
10.12.25 (16:00–17:30): Japanese office design + “siesta” = non-workspace? Speakers: Mr.Yasuhiro Shioshima (Shio Liber Design Co., Ltd.), Mr.Yuhei Imai (Kenma Co., Ltd.) and Ms.Mikiko Suzuki (Okamotoya Co., Ltd.)
11.12.25 (16:00–17:30): Encountering Shokunin: a discovery trip through Japanese craftsmanship (Speaker: Andreu Carulla)

スペインと日本は異なる文化圏にありながら、そのデザイン哲学には素材への深い敬意、余白の美、控えめな美しさという共通点があります。
「本質」― 核心の力 ― をテーマに掲げる本展は、意図的な最小限の表現に宿る静かな強さを浮き彫りにします。株式会社シオアリトルデザインの塩島康弘がキュレーターを努め、スペインと日本の視点を融合させ、文化を超えて共鳴するプロダクトを紹介します。
会期中に2つのセミナーを開催予定です。
12月10日（水）16:00–17:30： 「 Japanese office design + “siesta” = non-workspace ?」働き方の本質を探る：今なぜ日本のオフィスには働かない場所が必要なのか
